As 8 Containers Fall Off From Goods Train In Karnal.The incident affected the Ambala-Delhi rail traffic services which were stopped as restoration work was underway.
Chandigarh: Around 8-10 container of goods train fell off the train and got scattered on the railway tracks near Taraori in Karnal, Haryana. A local police officer said they rushed to spot after receiving the information and stopped the trains coming from both sides.
“We reached here immediately after receiving the information and met the station master. We stopped the trains of both sides and inspected the area. Eight to 10 containers were scattered here,” he added.
Speaking on the incident, RPF officer Balbir Singh Tomar said that the containers were empty and hence they got imbalanced. “There are no casualties. The containers were empty and therefore got imbalanced. We are clearing the area,” he said.
However, the incident affected the rail traffic on Ambala-Delhi route. Meanwhile, the authorities have begun the restoration work.
