The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) on Wednesday said it has forced a punishment of Rs 1,00,000 on internet business player Flipkart for permitting the offer of unacceptable homegrown pressure cookers on its foundation. Addressing PTI, CCPA Chief Commissioner Nidhi Khare said the punishment of Rs 1,00,000 has been forced on Flipkart for permitting the offer of unacceptable tension cookers on its internet business stage and disregarding the privileges of customers.
Flipkart has also been directed to notify customers of all 598 pressure cookers sold on its platform, review the pressure cookers, and reimburse purchasers, she said. She added that the organisation has likewise been approached to present a consistent report of similar kind in no less than 45 days.
