The Indian players are aiming to end the drought for the Olympics medals through the Tokyo Olympics. Indians have not got any Olympics medal in the Table Tennis sports, as of now. With the success of Commonwealth games 2018, players are hoping the success in Tokyo Olympics.
Overall 8 medals (3 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze) were bagged by the Indian contingent in the CWG 2018. Manika Batra got the gold medal under the women’s singles as well she is the in women’s squad which was praised in the team event. At Gold Coast, the Men team also achieved the gold medal.
