COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh: Curfew Relaxed From Today; Know The Details: The COVID-19 cases are declining day by day in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Hence, from today onwards, the AP government has relaxed furthermore. But, there is an exception for the Godavari districts. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken this decision in the Covid-19 review meeting.
As per the current situation, some more new relaxation has been given. Those are reopening cinema halls, gyms, restaurants, and function halls. But they should run by following the Coovid protocols. Like, fifty percent seating capacity and mandating the sanitizers and masks usage. All commercial establishments can be opened up to 99 pm.
In East and West Godavari districts, the curfew is relaxed for just two more hours only. Because those districts are having a high positivity rate. From 07 pm – 06 am only, the relaxations have been given in these two districts. If the positivity rate drops below five percent then only restrictions will be removed.
What Does CM Said
The CM has given directions to the respected officers. Those are, within the next two months, the establishment of the oxygen generation plants must be completed with the full capacity, across the state. He also said that the vaccination has to speed up and government employees and teachers, pregnant women have to be prioritized.
The officials said that the vaccination for the mothers having 5 years age children has started already.
Covid-19 in AP on Wednesday
On Wednesday, 3166 new coronavirus cases are recorded in AP. With this, the total cases in the state are around 19.1 lakh. But, the active cases are dropped to 32,356.
On Wednesday, East Godavari has reported the highest single-day Covid-19 cases. Next on the list are West Godavari (431), Prakasam (375), Chittoor (337), Nellore (259), Guntur (239), Kadapa (221), Krishna (191), Visakhapatnam (144), Srikakulam (103), Anantapur (102), Vizianagaram (55) and Kurnool (45).
