A CISF officer who allegedly stopped actor Salman Khan at the Mumbai airport last week has been “appropriately rewarded for exceptional professionalism in the conduct of his job,” the paramilitary force said on Tuesday, dismissing claims that the officer had been penalized.
“This tweet’s content is erroneous and lacks factual support. In reality, the officer in question has been appropriately acknowledged for exceptional professionalism in the performance of his duties (sic) “The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) responded through Twitter to a Twitter user who shared a news item.
Last Thursday, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were sighted at the Mumbai airport. They were supposedly on their way to Russia to film the foreign portion of their next film “Tiger 3.”
A widely circulated video shows them arriving at the airport separately, pursued by paparazzi. A CISF officer reportedly stopped Salman Khan as he attempted to enter the terminal and requested him to obtain clearance from the security checkpoint.
“Tiger 3” is the third installment in the popular “Ek Tha Tiger” trilogy. Manish Sharma will direct the film.
