The Central government on November 15, 2024, gave the Gazette notice concerning broadening the residency of Defense Secretary, Home Secretary, Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB), Secretary of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for the time of two years.
The notice peruses that the Central Government may, “on the off chance that it thinks about essential in the public premium so to do, give expansion in support of the Defense Secretary, Home Secretary, Director of Intelligence Bureau, Secretary of Research and Analysis Wing and Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) delegated under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 (25 of 1946) and Director of Enforcement in the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) designated under the Central Vigilance Commission Act, 2003 (45 of 2003) in the Central Government for such period or periods as it might consider legitimate on a case-to-case reason for motivations to be recorded as a hard copy, dependent upon the condition that the all-out term of such Secretaries of Directors, by and large, who are given such augmentation in assistance under this standard, doesn’t surpass two years or the period gave in the separate Act or rules made thereunder, under which their arrangements are made.”
