North Sentinel Islands, Andamans
North Sentinel Island is one of the Andaman Islands, which is home to Sentinelese, an indigenous people. They are voluntarily in isolation from the outside world. Usually, they get violent and start attacking those who visit this island. So, the Indian government strictly prohibited the visitor’s entry.
Upper Part of Pangong Tso, Ladakh
Pangong Tso is one of the famous tourist places in India. But the major area that is surrounding the lake is inaccessible to the visitors. The reason for its inaccessibility is around 50 per cent of the lake is in the disputed area. The Line of Actual Contol (LAC) is passing through the lake, which separates Indian and Chineses controlled territories. Hence, The area that lies Indian side is only allowed to visit.
Some Lakshadweep Islands
Lakshadweep comprises 36 islands. In those, only a few are allowed to travellers, keeping in view the interest of the local population. The island is also a naval base, hence security is the main concern. However, some islands like Agatti, Kavaratti, Bangaram, Kadmat and Minicoy Islands.
Barren Island, Andamans
India’s only confirmed volcano is on Barren Island. People can see this island from far, but you will be prohibited to get off on the island. This island earned its name because this island is not inhabited by people.
BARC, Mumbai
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) located in a suburb in Mumbai is one of the restricted places in India. Due to security reasons, tourists and visitors can not enter this facility. Students and researchers are allowed to visit after taking a series of permissions from government institutions.
