Arvind Kejriwal’s regular visits to Punjab have been questioned by Punjab’s Congress Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today in New Delhi. According to him, the “aam aadmi” (common man) of Punjab may be unfamiliar with the AAP’s leader.
“I’m not a copycat,” Mr. Channi said in response to Mr Kejriwal’s claim that he was a copycat. “He doesn’t explain how he knows this. He apologized to me after realizing he had made a mistake “He called me a “fake Aam Aadmi” and a “fake Kejriwal” in an exclusive interview with NDTV today.
Mr. Channi was labeled a “terrorist” by AAP earlier this week. “Kejriwal is unmistakably a forger.
Months before Mr. Channi’s takeover, Mr. Kejriwal promised Punjab free power and water if his party won the upcoming assembly elections. Later, he expanded the party’s free pilgrimage program to include Ayodhya transportation.
Punjab’s newly elected chief minister promised free electricity and water to the state’s residents in September. According to him, once the road to Kartarpur was completed, free bus rides would be provided.
Mr. Channi stated this morning that the state government had fulfilled all of the Aam Aadmi Party’s promises.
“I’ll be here for four months as CM, but I’ll be here for four years. Even the officers are not permitted to sleep in my home.” He claimed that there is no longer any corruption in India, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “na khane doonga na khaoonga”
