As per the local media reports, to upgrade the power backup system of the state’s online infrastructure, the Telangana State Data Centre (SDC) has planned this scheduled maintenance. With reference to the IT Department press release, the Telangana Govt Websites Shut Down up to 11th July, 09 pm.
The State Data Centre statement said that SDC’s UPS has become aged and the power backup mechanism is unable to sustain during power failures or fluctuations, over a long period.
The press note further said. “The State data Centre – IT Infrastructure is the main source of state for the G2C & G2G services and for day-to-day IT operations also. ”
As per the statement, the SDC-IT infrastructure is very important for the government to government services, and government to citizens services, and for regular IT operations services.
The official statement further said that for ensuring uninterrupted and smooth services, new upgraded UPS installation has become crucial. Hence, because of this reason, Telangana govt websites to go offline, temporarily for 48 hours.
