How to convert sugar ration card into rice card… Here are the full details ..!

The ration card is not only for purchasing goods but also for purchasing cylinders and identity documents in today’s times. It is also a great comfort to meet the basic needs of the families of many ordinary people today.

There are 5 types of ration cards in India depending on the family income. So you can choose a card that suits you and apply. If your card is a sugar card, you can turn it into a rice card.

All items, including rice, will be given to ration cardholders who have indicated what types of PHH are on the ration card. These cards have priority. For a ration card with the same PHH – AAY code, you can get all the items including 35 kg of rice. All items including rice are available on the ration card referred to as NPHH. In addition to rice, you can buy items including sugar for the ration card coded NPHH – s. However it will come as no priority. If the ration card is marked NPHH – Nc, it can only be used as an identification and proof of address.

How about an offline card?

To convert this card to another card offline, you need to fill up the application form, attach it with the relevant documents and pay at the TSO section at the taluka office. They will be checked and then your card type will be changed.

How online?

First open the website https://tnpds.gov.in/. You will need a mobile number registered on your ration card to make this change online. So you can hold it in your hand and change it after that.

Login online

Then click on the User Login option and enter the mobile number registered in your ration card.  Then just enter the captcha code given there and click on the Register option to proceed. After this, the OTP number will come to your registered mobile number. Record it and click.

What changes can be made

After that it will start on the next page. Click on the Card Mutations option at the bottom of that page. After that, there will be an option called New Request. Click on it. This includes family head name, card type change, cylinder number change, family member number change, address change, family member deletion, family member addition, and many more options. In it, click on the option to change the card type.

Check often to see what type of card you currently have and what type you want to change it to. Sometimes this change may not be possible. This option is blocked. So go to this website from time to time and check yourself. This is because in many cases the NPHH – Nc ID, the card used only as proof of address may be the only option.

Note

Keep the number however If you have the option to change, give the changeable card, click the box under Confirm, and register. You will receive a reference number after the operation. Only then can you see the status of your card.
