On Wednesday, the shooting for Tamil superstar Vijay’s 66th film began with a puja ceremony in Chennai.
Tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, the new movie will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu languages and it will be directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
With his co-star Rashmika Mandanna and actor R Sarath Kumar, Vijay took participation in the ceremony. The movie’s producer Dil Raju sounded the clapboard.
Thalapathy 66 is the first collaboration of Rashmika and music composer Thaman with Vijay.
The movie has KL Praveen and Karthick Palani on board for editing and editing respectively. Dilraju, Sri Harshith Reddy, Shirish, and Sri Hanshitha are producing the movie under the Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner.
On the work front, Vijay’s Beast is hitting theatres on the 13th of April, while Rashmika has Pushpa: The Rule and an untitled Telugu movie with Dulquer Salmaan in the pipeline.
