A renowned movie critic and journalist Gudipudi Srihari (88) died on Monday at his residence in Hyderabad. He worked for famous newspapers such as Eenadu and The Hindu. He contributed a lot to Sitara, which is a popular film magazine from Eenadu.
Srihari is very well-known for his movie criticism and contributed to the film industry for almost 5 decades. Recently, the veteran critic’s wife died and since then he is said to be mentally weak. Srihari has survived with a daughter and a son. His last rites will be performed after his son’s arrival from foreign.
Megastar Chiranjeevi tweeted that Srihari’s constructive criticism of his movies helped him to grow as an actor and conveyed his condolences. Gudipudi Srihari’s death is a huge loss to the journalism field. The film fraternity and media expressed their condolences on the sudden demise of journalist Srihari.
