In the CWC 2019 final, India defeated Pakistan 1-0 in England and Wales. This is the first time the two teams will meet again.
Since its inception in 2007, both countries have won the T20 World Cup once. In the first edition, India defeated Pakistan in the final to win the title.

According to the ICC T20 Rankings, the two teams are evenly matched. India leads with 266 points, followed by Pakistan (261 points). England is currently in first place with 278 points.
