Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) on 2nd October in the cruise drug case. He has been lodged in Arthur road jail. Aryan’s last bail hearing took place on 14th October. Special Judge VV Patil had scheduled the hearing for today and has rejected his bail. In this alleged drug case, along with Aryan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant was also arrested.
The verdict of Aryan Khan’s bail plea was delivered today at a Mumbai court. Earlier, senior advocate Amit Desai and advocate Satish Maneshinde had submitted a bail application for the release of Aryan after the shifting from the NCB’s custody to judicial custody.
Aryan’s co-accused Munmun Dhamecha, and Arbaaz Merchant’s bail applications were also rejected. The legal team of Aryan Khan said that they will apparently approach Mumbai High Court. After the announcement of the verdict, NCB official Sameer Wankhede was reported saying, “Satyameva Jayate“.
On 2nd October, NCB conducted an operation on Cordelia cruise that was off the Mumbai coast. As per the Aryan Khan’s lawyers, the 23-year-old star kid was not in possession of any narcotic or drug substance.
Currently, around 20 people have been arrested in the case including Aryan and Arbaaz. Earlier, the Metropolitan Magistrate had refused Aryan’s NCB custody and he was sent to jail.
Aryan Khan has been charged under Section 27 which relates to the consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance, Section 8(c), Section 20 (b) which relates to the use of cannabis, and Section 35 which is a presumption of the culpable mental state of the NDPS Act.
