Following the death of Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar on Friday, all liquor stores in Bengaluru have been ordered to remain closed until October 31st.
To keep the peace, all liquor outlets, including bars, restaurants, and wine shops, are prohibited under the order.
Puneeth Rajkumar, 46, died of a massive heart attack after a two-hour workout at the gym. Puneeth Rajkumar’s mortal remains will be on display for the public to see at Kanteerva Stadium.
In addition, the order claimed that Puneeth Rajkumar’s Sadashivanagar residence and Kantheerava stadium were overrun with people. There is a chance that drunk people will take advantage of the situation, causing problems for the city’s law enforcement. It continues by stating that malicious individuals may use social media to spread false information.
“Intensive patrolling is being conducted to ensure no untoward incident occurs,” said Kamal Pant, the city police commissioner.
Puneeth Rajkumar was known as the ‘Power Star’ in Kannada cinema for his strong performances in commercially successful Kannada films. Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife and two daughters survive him. He was known for his work as a celebrity television host and for singing in the background, in addition to being a movie star (as in Appu).
The actor began his career as a young artist under the tutelage of late Kannada personality icon Dr Rajkumar.
Puneeth, the superstar’s fifth and final child, rose to prominence in the film industry by collaborating with his father on the song “Bhakta Prahalada.” He was also praised for his work in Vasantha Geeta and Bhagyavantha.
Puneeth received a national award for best child actor for his performance as Ramu in Bettada Hoovu, in which he played a young boy who helped a researcher find a rare flower.
Puneeth, a badminton enthusiast, also went to the gym on a regular basis to stay in shape.
After his Friday workout, the Power Star experienced severe chest pain and was rushed to the hospital, but he was unable to be saved.
Puneeth made his Kannada film debut as a leading man in the 2002 film Appu. The film was a commercial and critical success, earning him a cult following and his admirers’ nickname “Appu.
Some of his best films include Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Mouryananda, Chakravyuha, and Anjani Putra, as well as lesser-known ones like Akash and Arsu and Milana.
From 2006 to 2009, Puneeth was stuck in a creative rut, but he came out on top with films like Prithvi, Jackie, Hudugaru, and Yaare Koogadali.
In 2012, he co-starred with Jayanth C. Paranjee in the romantic comedy Ninnindale, where he rose to prominence.
Puneeth’s biggest hit of the year was Raajakumara, in which he starred. The hit film went on to become Kannada’s highest-grossing film of all time. However, KGF: Chapter 1 shattered the previous record by a wide margin the following year he was also awarded the Filmfare for best Kannada actor.
