5 lakh people gathered to listen to Kannaiya Kumar’s speech. With these 5 lakh people, the northeastern states could be cut off from India alone. You can do it for at least a couple of months even if it is not permanent. We will break and crush the roads and rails. Only then will they listen to us. We also have to block various roads in Delhi. We have to put pressure on the government. This is the controversial speech of Sharjeel Imam.
Rs 600 crore money laundering case: Supreme Court dismisses Sivasankaran’s petition seeking diplomatic exemption
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed Sivasankaran’s plea seeking diplomatic exemption in a Rs 600 crore money laundering case. Sivasankaran had filed a petition seeking an exemption from the case as he was the ambassador to Seychelles.
IDBI Sivasankaran had a loan of Rs 600 crore with the bank. Sivasankaran did not repay this loan. The CBI and the Enforcement Division have registered cases and are conducting investigations.
Look out against Sivasankaran
Notice in this case, the Union Home Ministry has issued a look-out notice to Sivasankaran not to flee abroad. Sivasankaran filed a case against this in the Chennai High Court. In it, he was the ambassador to Seychelles; He therefore stated that my rights could not be withheld.
High Court dismisses
But the Chennai High Court refused to accept this. In October last year, the Chennai High Court dismissed Sivasankaran’s plea that he could not be considered an ambassador just because he was involved in industry in the country.
Supreme Court
Following this, Sivasankaran filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court. The petition was heard by a bench comprising Justices Kanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and CD Ravikumar. Maninder Singh appeared for Sivasankaran in this case. He was, in his argument, Sivasankaran the Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles. He said he had the right to be released from criminal cases against him in India under the Vienna Convention.
But Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the federal government, vehemently opposed it. And there is all the evidence that Sivasankaran committed fraud. That is why a look-out notice was issued against him.
Supreme Court dismissed
After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the judges said that Sivasankaran should have appealed against the judgment of the Chennai High Court. But Wright has filed the petition. This cannot be accepted. They said the Supreme Court was dismissing Sivasankaran’s petition seeking diplomatic exemption from fraud cases. As a result, Sivasankaran has been forced to face a Rs 600 crore fraud case against him.
