Father’s Day: Father’s Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June month. This day is dedicated to all the fathers across the world. Father’s Day 2024 will be celebrated on 19th June 2024. This day is celebrated to express the love and respect for fathers.

Father’s Day: History
The credit for the concept of Father’s Day goes to Sonora Smart Dodd. She established the day with a motive to celebrate her father and his attempt at being a single dad who raised six kids, after the death of their mother during childbirth.
Sonora was inspired by Mother’s Day and put forward the idea of having a Father’s Day in 1909. The local religious leaders supported her and decided to celebrate the first Father’s Day on 19th June 1910 and the June month was the birthday month of Dodd’s father.
In 1924, US President Calvin Coolidge gave his support to the celebration of Father’s Day, and finally, in the year 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson officially declared Father’s Day.
President Richard Nixon designated the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day through legislation in 1972.
