Extortion allegations have been levelled against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, and the Mumbai Police have assigned four officers to investigate them.
The Bombay High Court denied an NCB officer’s petition for interim protection from arrest in connection with extortion allegations in the Mumbai cruise drug case.
Maharashtra’s attorney stated that if a case was filed, the state would give 72 hours’ notice before arresting anyone.
“According to the government’s lawyer, suspects will be given three working days’ notice before being arrested. The statement of the public prosecutor is sufficient for the purposes of this petition. We’ve made the decision not to pursue this writ petition any further. Of course, we haven’t said anything about the case’s merits.” According to the report, the Bombay High Court ruled in this manner.
Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, is suspected of involvement in a drug bust, and the Maharashtra government has asked that the investigation be transferred to the CBI.
According to Sameer Wankhede’s petition, the court should order that all/any FIR(s) filed or proposed to be filed by the state of Maharashtra against the petitioner in connection with allegations of corruption be investigated by the CBI or NIA due to the political party’s malice, mala fides, and ulterior motives in governing the state of Maharashtra.
The Mumbai Police have assigned four officers to investigate extortion allegations against Sameer Wankhede.
Four complaints have been filed with the police by independent witnesses in the drugs case, including Prabhakar Sail, lawyers Sudha Dwivedi and Kanishka Jain, and Nitin Deshmukh.
He claims to have overheard Sam D’Souza and Kiran Gosavi discussing a Rs 25 crore payoff to clear Aryan Khan, including Rs 8 crore for NCB officer Sameer Wankhede.
