This morning, the legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away. He left this world at the age of 98. In the last month, this veteran actor was admitted to the hospital, because of some breathing issues.
The actor’s wife and actress Saira Banu and his friend Faisal Farooqui had been sharing updates from the last few days. They said that Dilip Kumar will be discharged very soon, because of his health improvement. However, an unfortunate turn has happened and he died in the early morning.
To share the news, a tweet was made by Faisal Farooqui from Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter. In that, he wrote, “I am announcing our beloved Dilip Saab death with a heavy heart, just a few minutes ago. We all came from God and we all return to him. ” Saira Banu has not come with any statement, as of now.
On June 30, Dilip Kumar was taken to the Hinduja Hospital, Khar. In the same month, this was the second time to rush to the hospital. Next to it, on June 06, he was rushed to the same hospital, due to breathing issues. The bilateral pleural effusion diagnosis was done for him, repeatedly.
Kumar is also called “The First Khan”, for his works. In the Hindi film industry, the technique of method acting is bought by him. A record number of Filmfare Best Actor awards are held by him. The Indian government honoured him with various awards namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
The Mughal-E-Azam, Daag, Qala, Devdas, Ram Aur Shyam, Gunga Jamuna films are the most famous ones. The Mughal-E-Azam movie was one of the highest-grossing films.
The debut film of the veteran actor is ‘Jwar Bhata’ and ‘Quila’ is the last one. Later, he wrote an autobiography named “Dilip Kumar: The Substance and the Shadow”. Its publishing year is 2014.
The career span of Dilip Kumar is over five decades. So many young actors are impacted by him. Surely, his demise is a dent in the film industry. Kumar’s admirers are tweeting actively and offering their condolences.
