Nawab Malik also claimed that in some cases, NCB officers use friends as witnesses.
During the investigation into the drugs-on-cruise case in which Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, and several others were arrested earlier this month, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has continued his tirade against the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). He also slammed the case’s lead investigator, Sameer Wankhede.
According to 62-year-old Mr Malik, who shared the images with reporters today, Fletcher Patel is seen in the photo with Jasmin Wankhede, the sister of NCB officer Sameer Wankhede.
And he shared a photo of Mr. Wankhede, the man in charge of investigating Aryan Khan’s murder, with Mr. Patel, claiming the two were friends.
Rishabh Sachdeva is Mohit Kamboj’s brother-in-law, according to him.
The minister insisted on an independent investigation into the matter by the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell.
The Maharashtra minister was responding to Fletcher Patel’s question about how the latter obtained confidential documents from state and federal organisations.
“What exactly is it that is causing him so much annoyance? Why is Sameer Wankhede being slandered if he is friends with him?” According to NDTV, he said as much.
Mr Fletcher believes Mr Malik should concentrate on his department. “Do you have any accomplishments from the last two years to show for it? You pursue those who are doing a good job and are worth your time. Sameer Wankhede is on a mission to rid Maharashtra’s streets of illegal drugs. Rather than hounding him, we should be proud of him “He made the remark.
Mr. Fletcher describes himself as a retired soldier who believes in putting his country first. Mr. Wankhede sees him as a soldier and knows he’ll be pressed, he says. To put it another way, he stated that he considers Mr. Wankhede’s sister to be his own.
According to the businessman, Mr. Fletcher’s name and address were allegedly leaked. Who will be held accountable if something bad happens to me?
He also stated that he intends to sue for libel.
Last Friday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray accused the BJP of orchestrating drug raids across his state without proper oversight.
“How common is this (the drug seizure)? Authorities conducted a drug raid at the Mundra Port and discovered tonnes of drugs worth a fortune. Our police seized drugs worth Rs 150 crore, whereas law enforcement in your country (at the NCB) only seized a handful of ganja. You want to meet and photograph famous people.” This is according to the Chief Minister.
Since his arrest on October 3, Aryan Khan has been denied bail four times.
KP Gosavi, a man seen with him in a viral selfie taken during the raids, is a private investigator, according to Nawab Malik, who questioned how two outsiders were allowed into the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) operation.
