The well-known faces in the Prime Minister Modi cabinet expansion include Anurag Thakur, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Bhupender Yadav, Pashupati Kumar Paras, Anupriya Patel, Meenakshi Lekhi, Shobha Karandlaje, Ajay Bhatt, and a few more.

Four former Chief Ministers, Eighteen Former Ministers of State, 23 MPs, and 39 former MLAs who have been elected 3 or more times are in the new council of ministers.
Interestingly, in those 43, 13 lawyers, 6 doctors, 5 engineers, and 7 civil servants are there. 11 women members have got placed as ministers. Below 50 aged ministers are fourteen members. with this, the average age is brought down to 58.
In terms of caste and religion statistics, Buddhist, Sikh, Muslim, and Christian communities have one minister each. 27 ministers are from the OBC community. ST and SC communities have eight and twelve ministers, respectively.
On the inclusion of new faces, the Congress party was attacked quickly. The former finance minister P. Chidambaram said that in these resignations a lesson is there for ministers. The credit will go to Prime Minister if things are right. whereas, if things are wrong, the minister is the responsible one. For implicit obedience & unquestioning subservience, the minister pays that price.
The Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, “So many backward caste members and Dalits are being made as ministers. In the view of polls only, they are doing these things. For the distraction of people, all this is being done. Their intention in these things is not the welfare of communities but their compulsion.”
