Rajinikanth Draws Curtains Over Politics, Dissolves His Political Outfit: On Monday, veteran actor Rajinikanth draws curtains over politics. He said that he has no plans in the future, to enter politics. He dissolved the Rajini Makkal Mandram, which is a political outfit formed for his political entry and made into a fan club.
At Raghavendra Marriage hall, Rajini met his Rajini Makkal Mandram functionaries, on Monday. This meeting is conducted to discuss Rajini Makkal Mandram’s fate and theories over his political entry. The meeting was held for about an hour.
After the completion of the meeting, Rajinikanth stated that “there are questions over objectives and functionality of the Rajinikanth Makkal Mandram, after announcing my decision of not move the political party, it is my responsibility to tell about the Rajini Makkal Mandram. Because of some circumstances, we could not win what we wanted, so the Rajini Makkal Mandram is going to be dissolved and changed into a fan club.”
In the year 2017, Rajinikanth announced that he will face the Tamil Nadu assembly elections by starting a political party. Following that decision, he converted his fans club into a political outfit.
In December 2020, quoting his health condition after hospitalization he said that he will not move the political party as announced earlier. He also termed his hospitalization as God’s warning. His fans continuously requesting him to reconsider his decision about his political entry. So that, he gave the clarification about that today. Meanwhile, his next film Annaatthe is scheduled to release in November 2024.
