Sneha Dubey: India denounced Pakistan as a terrorism patron and a suppressor of minorities in giving a reply to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan’s words against the country.
Ina strong rebuttal, Sneha Dubey, who is India’s first secretary to the UN, said: “This is the country that is disgusting itself as a fire-fighter. Pakistan always nurtures terrorists in its backyard. Not only, our region, but also the entire world has suffered from their policies. On the other hand, they are trying to cover up violence that happened in their country as acts of terror.”
Her speech was posted on social media platforms. Indian are hailing her for replies and the way she handled it.
Sneha Dubey, a 2012 batch IFS officer did her schooling from Goa. Then, she completed higher education at Pune’s Fergusson College. Finally, she did her MPhil at the School of International Studies, JNU, Delhi.
From the age of 12 years, Sneha wanted to join the Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and passed the civil services exam in 2001, in the very first attempt.
Sneha states that her inspiration for joining the foreign services IFS was a combination of the thrill of new cultures discovering, learning about international affairs, being part of important policy decisions, representing the country, and helping people.
Sneha Dubey is the first one to join the government services. Her mother works as a school teacher and her father works in a multinational company.
The first appointment of Sneha was in the Ministry of External Affairs. Then, she was sent to the Indian Embassy in Madrid, in August 2014. At present, she is India’s first secretary at the United Nations (UN).
