Vijayawada East Assembly constituency
Vijayawada Central Assembly Constituency is a constituency in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India.It is one of the seven assembly segments of the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency.
Malladi Vishnu is the current MLA of the constituency, having won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from the YSR Congress Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 269,859 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 2008, as per the Delimitation Orders (2008).
Gadde Ramamohan
Gadde Ramamohan Rao was a member of the 13th Lok Sabha of India from Vijayawada constituency of Andhra Pradesh as a member of the Telugu Desam Party. He was also a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, representing Gannavaram constituency during 1994–1999. He was the Vijayawada Urban division convenor for TDP[clarification needed] from 2004 to 2009. He serves as the head of TDP in Vijayawada East constituency. He won from Vijayawada (East) assembly constituency for 2014 Andhra Pradesh elections. He was again re-elected from same constituency in 2019 Andhra Pradesh elections.
His wife, Gadde Anuradha, is also a politician from the TDP party and had served as Krishna ZP Chairperson.
Devineni Avinash
He is currently serving as Vijayawada East (Assembly constituency) in charge from YSR Congress Party. Avinash campaigned for his father Late Devineni Nehru who contested from Kankipadu mandal in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. He also served as a Samaikyandhra Movement Student JAC Convener gathering 100,000 students which drew the attention of the entire state. He actively participated in Samaikyandhra Movement including Jala Deeksha[2] and various other student rallies.[3][4] He also led the Special Status for Andhra Pradesh Protests post the state division which included agitations and bike rallies along with the youth. Avinash served as Andhra Pradesh State Youth Congress President and Vijayawada Parliamentary Congress President during his tenure with Indian National Congress.
