He did not receive any training facilities during his schooling. They struggle to improve their skills and performance due to lack of facilities. After graduating from high school, Yogesh Kathuniya joined Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Many coaches noticed his skills during his college years. He quickly started studying at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium under the guidance of coach Satyapal Singh. According to the International Paralympic Federation, Yogesh qualified for the Tokyo 2019 Paralympic Games by winning bronze in the men’s F56 discus throw final at the World Athletics Championships in Dubai. Achievements
Yogesh won the gold medal in the Para-Athletics Grand Prix held in Berlin in 2018. He broke the world record in the men’s discus F36 category event. He threw a throw of 45.18m and broke the world record of 42.96m held by Kuiking of China, which he had achieved in 2017.
