Konda Polam Movie Story
Kataru Ravindra Yadav (Vaishnav Tej) narrates his journey, during his IFS interview at the UPSC, New Delhi, on the insistence of the chief interviewer (Nasser). Ravindra belongs to a poor family which resides in a village near Nallamala Forest, Kadapa. His father (Sai Chand) educates him by goats’ herding. After completing his engineering pursues software courses in Ameerpet. Still, he fails to get a job in Hyderabad and returns to his village.
Under some circumstances, Ravindra, his father, his friend Obulamma (Rakul Preet), fellow villagers Hema, Mahesh Vitta, Ravi Prakash, and others go into the Nallamala Forest to do Konda Polam. This forest is ruled by a tiger. Eventually, dreaded smugglers who cut off the valuable Bommakarra trees are also a threat to the innocent villagers. The story is about how fearful Ravindra overcomes his fear and becomes an IFS officer.
Konda Polam Telugu Movie Review: Positive Aspects
Vaishnav Tej’s performance as a struggling engineering graduate who discovers his confidence and moves on to become an IFS officer is quite impressive. He showcases sincerity in his performance.
Rakul Preet’s performance was apt with the narrative. Ravi Prakash steals the show with his performance. Sai Chand too shows his caliber. After a long time, legendary actor Kota Srinivasa Rao appeared in the movie. The remaining actors including Hema, Mahesh Vitta performances were also adequate.
Konda Polam Telugu Movie Review: Negative Aspects
Some scenes in the second half appear repetitive and slow down the narrative. The crucial scenes of Ravidra’s journey appear too dramatic and unconvincing. The main plot points of the story were not used effectively.
Technical Aspects
Director Krish shines with his trademark in many scenes. MM Keeravani’s background score is one of the highlights of the Konda Polam film. The cinematography is also quite good. Editing could have been a little bit sharper.
Conclusion
Coming to the conclusion, Konda Polam is an emotional and impressive tale of a young village person’s inspiring journey. The realistic and emotional narrative is the main strength. On the other hand, unnecessary commercials and repetitive scenes dilute the tale.
