According to UP Police, a man raped a 21-year-old woman in a moving car as she returned from Agra on Thursday.
The accused took the girl to Agra on Tuesday to take the sub-inspector exam. According to senior police officers, he assaulted her in the car as they drove back.
He dropped the girl off in Mathura, in the Kosi Kalan area, a short time later.
According to Shrish Chandra, the superintendent of rural police, Tejveer, the main suspect, was apprehended on Thursday, while Digambar, the accomplice, is still at large.
According to a police official in Palwal, Haryana, both suspects are from the village of Manpur, and two teams have been formed to apprehend the second suspect.
According to the police, Tejveer met the victim on social media and gained her trust.
A medical examination was conducted based on a complaint from her brother, and her statement was recorded in accordance with Section 161 of the Indian Penal Code.
The vehicle that was involved in the accident was also recovered.
The suspects’ ages are estimated to be between 22 and 25 years old, according to authorities.
