Our elder people have made us accustomed to the practice of visiting temples every day since our childhood. Visiting a temple is not just an affair, but it has many more scientific benefits. We should know the details like when and how to visit the temple? How temples were formed? What the Vedas are telling about temples? What rules should we follow inside Hindu temples?
A temple is constructed in a place where great gravitational energy waves are radiating through the Earth. To make it more clear, there are many famous temples where positive energy passes through the earth similar to the attraction between the North and South poles. Because of this, we feel peace after stepping into the temple.
Inside the sanctum sanctorum of a temple, the deity is placed where there are so many positive waves. Under the deity, copper foil inscribed with some Vedic mantras is placed. Copper metal has the ability to absorb the energy from Earth and transmits it to the surrounding areas.
As the Garbagruha (sanctum sanctorum) is opened only on one side, the energy flow will be more on that side. The energy is produced from dia lit inside the temple also. So, we have to know the rules that should be followed inside the temple.
While having Teertham (sacred water), we should take it three times separately. Lord Shiva likes Abhishekam, Lord Vishnu likes ornaments (Alankaram), and Goddess Parvathi likes Kumkum Puja. We should not throw the Prasad.
We should not stand in front of the deity inside the temple. Instead, we have to stand aside and offer our prayers.
If you are visiting a Shiva temple, then you should not walk between Lord Shiva and Nandi.
While visiting any temple, first devotees have to see Dwajasthambha. While visiting the Shiva temple, first we have to pray to Navagrahas and then Lord Shiva. In the case of Vishnu temples, devotees have to offer prayers to Lord Vishnu first and then others.
Devotees should not talk and laugh loudly inside the temple. Temple premises have to be kept clean.
Dia should be lit left side for the Bhagawan Shiva and the right side for the Bhagwan Vishnu. In goddess temples, if the dia is lit with oil then it should face left and if it is with ghee then it should be on the right side.
