Chief Minister Stalin turned his attention to the intelligence page
Intelligence is the eye, ear and brain of a regime. After many critics pointed out that the DMK had faltered after taking office, Chief Minister Stalin, who immediately stepped on the field, staged some of Jayalalithaa’s actions in the intelligence service.
Both Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa are the best executors of intelligence in the political history of Tamil Nadu. But Karunanidhi’s intelligence handled matters at the top level. At the grassroots level, the circle secretaries to the ward councilors may not have monitored the games, or may not have been properly noticed.
As a result, the DMK may have been hit hardest by ward-level parties after the 2006-11 regime. Jayalalithaa relied entirely on intelligence. To what extent the intelligence was overseen by the DGP rank officer and the information was sought directly from the IG rank officer.
The DGP received bipolar intelligence because he could hide some things from himself. There are also times when junior intelligence officers are called in person and asked for information. In addition, he has taken drastic action against many for keeping press information. He snatched the post of a minister while the ever-released photo was reshare.
One of the female contact complaints was dismissed. He collected and kept at his fingertips the affairs of many ministers. During Jayalalithaa’s rule, he used a former DGP alone to gather such information, apart from intelligence officials.
Both Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa are said to be highly diplomatic in using intelligence in political parties’ alliance affairs. It is said that the then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had diplomacy in forming the People’s Welfare Alliance in 2016 and mainly moving Temujin away from the DMK.
People’s influence alone is not enough to win elections. Alliance is very important. Intelligence will tell the government who can win if it joins an alliance with whom. Even if it is not accepted, there is a chance of losing the election. There are stories before that happened. Similarly any issue arises big at any time and the intelligence sniffs out who the problem is and sends it to the government.
At times like that the rulers will pay extra attention to it or the two lines will philosophically tear down another big line and make it a smaller line. The intelligence alerts the government before certain issues come up that it could be a political event, a struggle, a religious riot, a caste riot, a people’s issue.
It would be better if the government realizes it and moves the regime. Both MGR and Karunanidhi are said to be very talented in this. The reason is that they do not only trust the intelligence. They have many friends and senior editors, and many reporters get to know them.
Karunanidhi reads all the newspapers everyday after going for a walk. He will then speak to the respective newspaper editors if necessary. Then the parties will give immediate orders to the ministers. Those who know him will say that many will buy it. This was an essential attribute of the ruler because he was able to be an influential ruler in the government and the party.
Next came Edappadi Palanisamy. He had to fight to retain his place. He also made good use of intelligence. The decisions he made were in favor of the regime. That is why the number of votes may have been saved incorrectly, even though the number of seats won was low.
The next one was quiet. The ministers are confused because he is suddenly silent. He rules by saying and doing best. Stalin, who came to power at the height of the Corona, entrusted ministers with certain responsibilities that succeeded.
Corona was able to succeed by focusing on issues that experts say more than intelligence, including the issue of students’ education and the issue of farmers. Subsequent events showed the DMK government that experts are experts and not intelligence.
One of them was the Anti-Corruption Raid case. Nothing big in it. The continuation of those who were influential in the AIADMK regime by many officials in this regime, the racially sectarian politics that is emerging little by little in the southern states, the domination of the Dada and the shocking need for unwarranted intervention by the party leaders have been put back by political critics.
Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. A number of issues were put before the Chief Minister, such as monitoring ministers, party members and preventing party leaders from discrediting the regime.
The Chief Minister may have taken the first step to streamline the outcome intelligence. An SP rank officer has been appointed in addition to the one who never looks after important matters including politics. Tasks are assigned to him.
One of the important things is that he will take care of political issues. The chief minister is said to have focused on intelligence as a first step. But political critics say this is not enough, as some police officials have called for a change in intelligence at the highest levels. DMK leaders say that the Chief Minister who notices all this will not notice it either.
This change of intelligence is very necessary. Political commentators say the intelligence service needs to appoint such officers more than honest officials in other departments, and that he will help fix both the party and the regime when more information goes to the attention of the chief minister, as information is not properly concealed.
