The number of people in Tamil Nadu who have not been vaccinated on time for the 2nd installment has increased to 30 lakhs!
The number of people in Tamil Nadu who have not been vaccinated on time has increased to 30 lakh. Medical experts have advised that everyone should be vaccinated before the festive season arrives.
Vaccination work has been stepped up to prevent the spread of corona infection in Tamil Nadu. In this situation, the interest in vaccination among the population has decreased as the incidence of corona has started to decrease. Especially those who have been vaccinated in the first installment are sometimes so indifferent that a second installment is not necessary.
As a result, the number of defaulters in Tamil Nadu has increased to 30,42,509. Therefore, at the 6th Mega Vaccine Camp to be held on Saturday this week, Medical Minister Ma Subramaniam has stressed that all of them should be vaccinated for the second time.
When asked about this, Omanthurai Hospital Chief Jayanthi said that data available globally show that those who are vaccinated with two doses get better protection against serious illness.
Barandaman, head of the general medicine department at the Kilpauk Government Hospital, said it was necessary for all those eligible to be vaccinated a second time as there was a high chance of corona disease spreading during the festive season.
A list of those who failed to pay the second installment of the vaccine is being sent and a text message is being sent to remind them. Also, the medical department plans to find them and go door-to-door to remind them.
