Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, known for the movies like 2 states, Hichki, and Meenakshi Sunderashwar passed away on 11th April in Mumbai. Besides being an actor, he was also a screenplay writer for the movies like 1942: A love story, Parinda, and Hazaro Khawishein Aisi. He has also bagged a Filmfare award for Best screenplay for Parinda and Best Story for Hazaron Khawishesh Aisi. He also got fame for his performance in the TV show Mukti Bandhan, where he played the lead role.
Shiv’s mortal remains will be cremated at Mumbai’s Amboli crematorium on 11th April. Filmmakers Hansal Mehta, Ashole Pandit, and many others shared their condolences over the death of Shiv. He is survived by his wife, Divya, and just a few months back, his son Jehan died of a brain tumor.
