Ayushman Card: The Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a healthcare project launched by the Government of India to improve the health and well-being of the poorest citizens. Ayushman Bharat has two main health initiatives: HWC (Health and Wellness Center) and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. More than 10 crore households are covered with health insurance worth 5 lakh INR each under the PMJAY plan. This scheme provides cashless treatment at state hospitals and private facilities approved by the government.
Ayushman Card
This scheme provides a smart card to the qualifying applicants which is known as Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card. It allows families to get free treatment up to a maximum of 5,00,000 INR/year under the supervision of the government. The motive of introducing this program is to give financial assistance for medical care to low-income families.

To get the benefits of Ayushman Bharat, one may take their ration card to the local Common service Center and apply for the plan, and for this, you have to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 30.
Ayushman Card Registration 2024
Earlier this year, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced the PMJAY program, which is officially called the Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Scheme. This plan enables the recipient to utilize their PMJAY Card to access health care services at many designated Indian Institutions. Treatments worth up to Rs. 5 lakh are entirely free of charge for cared users.
One can utilize the PMJAY online registration service which was launched on 23rd September 2018, to complete the online registration procedure for an Ayushman Bharat Card or PMJAY Card.
Ayushman Card Apply Online
- Create a patient verification card for the beneficiaries to utilize in case of an emergency
- The patient will be sent to the PMJAY kiosk for the card creation

- Confirm any existing illness with the physicians who will be presented
- If hospitalization is indicated, use medical services provided by the EHCPs (Empanelled Healthcare Providers) or public institutions
