Gujarat Titans: On 13th March, CVC Capital-owned Gujarat Titans unveiled their jersey in a grand event at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad for the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024.
The Indian Premier League 2024 will be a 10-team tournament with the addition of two new teams, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT).
CVC Capital Partners successfully bid with 5625 Crore INR for Ahmedabad. The Gujarat Titans picked Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for Rs. 15 crores ahead of the IPL 2024 mega auction and he has been appointed as the team captain. Gujarat team added Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan, Indian opener Shubman Gill for 15 and 8 Crore rupees respectively.
The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) secretary Jay Shah was invited as chief guest for the jersey launch event at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Captain Hardik Pandya, head coach Ashish Nehra, and other franchise officials have attended the event.
The IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League) is all set to begin on 26th March. All the games on the league stage will be played in Maharashtra across Dy Patil Stadium, Wankhede Stadium, Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, and Brabourne Stadium.
20 matches each will be played at the Dy Patil Stadium and the Wankhede Stadium while 15 games each will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and the Brabourne Stadium.
