Havana Syndrome: A CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) official who go along with CIA Director William Burns to India suffered symptoms related to the Havana Syndrome. The official was immediately tested for any brain symptoms and is under medical treatment. Around 200 US officials and their families have reported symptoms, which include nausea, memory lapses, migraines, and dizziness. The first case was reported by the American officials deputed at the US embassy in Cuba in the year 2016.
What is Havana Syndrome?
Havana Syndrome is an illness that may cause nausea, memory lapses, migraines, dizziness, vertigo, and intense headaches. Doctors, intelligence agencies, scientists, and government officials are trying so hard to find the root cause of this Havana Syndrome. Generally, victims report that they felt a sort of noise that is difficult to describe, like piercing squeals, buzzing, and grinding metal.
Cases & Origin
This syndrome symptoms first came out when the diplomats and other officials at the US embassy in Cuba reported unusual physical sensations feeling and hearing low & high pitched sounds. After decades of hostility, in the year 2015, diplomatic ties between the US and Cuba. However, just within two years, the US embassy had to be shut down because the staff was facing health issues.
From that time, US government officials have reported similar symptoms in the Washington DC area and China. This medical mystery was named after the Cuban capital where the US officials first reported these symptoms.
How long do the symptoms stay?
Most people who are suffering from these symptoms recovered after getting medical attention. So, that means the illness was temporary. Some of the affected ones are CIA officials, so information regarding them was unlikely to be made public.
