The Chief Minister distributed 12 varieties of vegetable seeds including aubergine, chilli, betel nut, tomato, bean, birch, sorghum, bagel, zucchini, coriander, squash and greens for 15 rupees.
One can get up to two packages of this vegetable seedling.
Chief Minister MK Stalin today at the General Secretariat, on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Agrarian Welfare under the Chief Minister’s Nutritious Vegetable Gardening Scheme at a subsidized price of 225 rupees for terrace gardens.

2 lakh seedlings containing 12 varieties of vegetable seeds will be provided in the subsidy in rural areas.
1 lakh terrace gardens with 6 types of vegetable seeds in urban areas will be subsidized.
Under the Nutrition Scheme for Improving Immunity, 2 lakh nutrient supplements containing 8 types of plants will be subsidized.
Incentives / Inputs worth Rs. 15,000 / – for vegetable growers
Inputs to improve soil fertility in an area of 1250 hectares in 2 thousand villages where vegetable cultivation is less
Covering an area of 638 hectares
Grant for setting up a pavilion,
It has been announced to implement projects worth Rs. 95 crore including subsidy for lettuce cultivation in an area of 1000 hectares.
According to the announcement, under the Chief Minister’s Nutritious Vegetable Garden Scheme, at a cost of Rs 6 crore 75 lakh,
6 varieties of vegetable seeds worth Rs. 900 in urban areas, 6 numbered bags,
6 counts of 2 kg coconut fibers, 400 g of bio-fertilizer, 200 g of biocontrol agent,
100 ml. First Minister MK Stalin presented the beneficiaries with a subsidy of 225 rupees for the terraces containing natural pesticides and cultivation manuals.
A maximum of two terraces per person will be provided under the scheme.
At a cost of Rs. 90 lakhs to promote the establishment of vegetable gardens in rural areas
Eggplant, chilli, marrow, tomato, beans, birch, squash, bagel, zucchini, coriander, squash, greens for 15 rupees.

A maximum of one package per family will be provided.
