Honda Car India, a Japanese carmaker and one of the oldest foreign automobile manufacturers in India has unveiled its much anticipated, new entrant Honda City Hybrid e: HEV a mid-size sedan.
The famous car brand is the longest-running production car in India, which first started in 1998. Honda launched hybrid sedans like Accord, Civic, City, and many others in the past and now will enter the mid-size sedan segment.
Honda had recently unveiled the teaser picture of the upcoming 2022 City Hybrid e: HEV for the Indian markets.
The picture reveals the rear end of the car displaying the badging of ZX and e: HEV logo. The video posted by Honda also reveals the new City Hybrid which comes in a non-RS variant as well.
Honda has introduced Honda Sensing – ADAS features in this new model. The car is now equipped with an automated emergency braking system, lane assist, collision mitigation braking, automatic high beam, adaptive cruise control, and more attractive features.
Leveraging the hybrid technology, Honda claims the city hybrid will give an average fuel efficiency of 26.5 kmpl. An e CVT automatic gearbox has been connected with a powertrain which gives the power more power and stability. With a 40-liter tank capacity, the hybrid city has an effective range of 1000+ kilometers on a full tank. The car brand offers 8-years limited warranty on a lithium-ion battery and a 3-years unlimited warranty on the car. In respect of security, this hybrid is equipped with 6 airbags, a sunroof and electronic parking brake, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Carplay support.
Booking for the new Honda City e: HEV ZX variant started on April 14th. However, the ex-showroom prices will be shared at a later time. The car will be launched and will be sold in early May 2022.
