On Wednesday, 100 people, including 51 children, were hospitalised in Chhattisgarh’s Ansula village due to possible food poisoning.
They reportedly complained of diarrhoea and vomiting after attending a function at the home of the headmaster of the village’s state-run primary school.
Patients were given intravenous drips in the medical facilities.
Collector Doman Singh was assured that the patients were safe after visiting the Pithora Community Health Centre.”We walked from one room to the next in the hospital ward. Almost all of the patients at the Sankra health centre were treated and released within a few hours of their admission. As a result, the title of Chief Medical Health Officer has been changed “Mr. Singh explained in an interview with NDTV.
The Collector has directed that the investigators conduct an investigation and submit a detailed report.
