Maayandi (Nallandi) is the only farmer in his village. One fine day, a tree gets burnt to ashes because of a lightning strike. Villagers think that this is happening because they have not had a ‘Thiruvizha’ in their village for a long time. As Maayandi is the only farmer in the village, he has to grow grains as an offering to the deity.
