Xiaomi’s Smarter Living 2024 virtual event, held on Thursday, marked the official introduction of the Mi Smart Band 6 in India. The Mi Smart Band 5 is the company’s latest fitness band, and it replaces the Mi Smart Band 5 that was debuted last year. In comparison to its predecessor, the Mi Smart Band 6 has a larger AMOLED touch display with approximately 50% more screen real estate. Additionally, Xiaomi has included health monitoring capabilities such as heart rate monitoring, SpO2 (peripheral capillary oxygen saturation) measuring, and sleep tracking in the Mi Smart Band 6.
Mi Smart Band 6 pricing and availability information in India
The price of the Mi Smart Band 6 in India has been fixed at Rs. 3,499. From August 30 to September 30, the band will be available for purchase through Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home retailers. By default, it comes with a wrist strap in the colour Black, but consumers can also choose from three different wrist strap colours, including Blue, Light Green, Maroon, and Orange, which can be purchased separately. Current Mi Band users will receive a Rs. 500 discount on the Mi Band 6 if they upgrade to the latest model.
Specifications for the Mi Smart Band 6
The Mi Smart Band 6 has a 1.56-inch (152×486 pixel) full-screen AMOLED touch display with 450 nits of peak brightness and 326ppi pixel density. When compared to the Mi Smart Band 5’s 1.1-inch AMOLED display, the screen is larger. Xiaomi has also provided a list of themes as well as over 80 customisable band faces to provide a more personalised experience. The Mi Smart Band 6 also functions as a fitness tracker, tracking a total of 30 workout types with its built-in sensors. Indoor exercises such as stretching, professional sports such as cricket and gymnastics, and activities such as Zumba are examples of these.
The Mi Smart Band 6 uses its built-in array of sensors to track heart rate monitoring and sleep, just like other fitness tracking wristbands. You’ll get a better sleep tracking feature that tracks naps, sleep cycles, including rapid eye movement (REM), and sleep breathing quality. SpO2 measurements are also supported. It is important to note, however, that the Mi Smart Band 6 lacks regulatory approval to be used as a medical device.
The Mi Smart Band 6 includes stress monitoring, deep breathing guidance, and female health tracking in addition to health tracking.
