Actress Nayanthara and filmmaker-lyricist Vignesh Shivan are married.
The couple has been dating since after working together first in Vignesh Shivan’s 2015 directional “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”, and got married on June 9 at a resort in Mahabalipuram.
Ahead of the ceremony, Vignesh Shivan wrote on social media that he was excited and looking forward to the next chapter of his life.

The event was attended by family members, close friends, and several celebrities from the film industry such as Rajinikanth, Karthi, Shah Rukh Khan, Producer Boney Kapoor, and directors Mani Ratnam, and Atlee among others.
On the work front, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara last collaborated earlier this year on the comedy-drama “Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal‘, which also starred Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi. Nayanthara will next be seen in the “O2” movie, and she is also reportedly starring in the Atlee-Shah Rukh Khan action-thriller “Jawan”.
Earlier, Vignesh Shivan had announced that the couple would meet fans and media members together on June 11.
