Netflix has acquired the rights globally to the animated movie Dragon Rider (released in Germany) and will be on Netflix’s watchlist under the name Firedrake The Silver Dragon.
The movie started its production in June 2017 as a co-production between Constantin Film and animation work from Belgium Studios (famous for video games), Cyborn, and Rise FX South Studios.
This movie is directed by Tomar Eshed, the movie adapts the story from the book of Cornelia Funke where a young silver dragon teams up with a mountain spirit and a young boy who are in search of a safe and free home for the dragons.
This movie will be released under Netflix’s Label on September 10th, 2024. It will be released in multiple regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, etc.
The voice cast for the movie for English speakers is Freddie Highmore, Patrick Stewart, Nonso Anzozie, etc.
This movie was rated 5.6/10 on IMDB and 70% on RottenTomatoes. According to some viewers, this movie is similar to “How to train your dragon”. Also, the reviews of the film were below average and most of the viewers are not satisfied with the movie.
