Schools usually open in June each year and classes are held. But, schools were not opened this year due to the corona spread. However, the lesson is being conducted for students through educational television and online classes.
In this situation, in order to prepare the students for the general examination, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department has decided to conduct monthly unit examinations through WhatsApp. Teachers have been instructed on guidelines, setting up separate WhatsApp groups for students, and providing the necessary advice to students.
Accordingly, a WhatsApp group has been set up for students separately and for students separately. Students should send the question papers to the WhatsApp group, look at the question paper and write the relevant answers on a separate piece of paper, then they have to get the parent’s signature and should convert it into a PDF file.
The answer sheet of the students should include the name and the registration number provided by the examination department and the teachers will edit the answer sheets through WhatsApp and give the marks accordingly. It has been reported that by conducting such unit examinations, the scheme will be very useful to assess the academic performance of the students on a monthly basis.
Accordingly, the school education department has been directed to conduct unit examinations for the completed subject areas conducted for 2 months in June and July through Education Television. It has also been suggested that the examination should be conducted for 50 marks.
