The Maheshwar Singh, who is a two-time former MLA, joined Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), later breaking with the Janata Dal (United) party. His induction into the party was done under the presence of Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav is the party leader of RJD.
Maheshwar claimed that he is facing a lot of pressure from the NDA and hence he has left the JD (U). Additionally, he said that his supporters from the East Champaran district will also leave the Nithish Kumar’s party and joins the RJD.
On welcoming Maheshwar, Yadav said, “Mr. Maheshwar has been elected as MLA two times, LJP minister, and he is also an ally of my father. As he returned to our party, our party will become stronger and we are having full faith in him.”
Tejashwi Yadav claimed that so many members of the JD (U) and BJP parties were in contact with him but asked questions about the former MLA Manjit Singh. He has also met the RJD leader which had fuelled the speculations of party changing. But, after receiving Nitish Kumar’s call, he took down his decision.
While answering the journalist’s queries, Yadav said that state people are also wishing that we topple the current government.
The 25th foundation day of the RJD is on 5th July. The addressing of the Lalu Prasad will be done virtually. This meeting may charge up leaders and workers of the party.
Yadav sarcastically replied that whatever the sins did by you will be washed away, if joins the party and there will be no action against you. He gave this answer when he was asked about land grabbing and extortion controversies of Deputy CM brother and senior BJP leader Renu Devi.
When the RJD leader was asked about his supporting offer to the LJP’s Chirag Paswan. Then he said that their sympathies are with Chirag, Obviously, JD (U) is the reason behind the splits in the LJP.
