Central Home Minister make plans to eradicate the Naxalite system in India. Hence, a plan named surrender parade is devised. According to it, the government requires 100 innocents who should surrender themselves as Maoists and who in return, get Police jobs and lump sum. Rajanna (Praveen Kandela), who is an influential person in Thupakulagudem is given that responsibility. He then directs Kumar (Shrikant Rathod) to do the job. Didi Kumar succeed in doing it? forms the base plot of the Rebels of Thupakulagudem movie.

- Praveen Kandela did a good job in this movie. His dialogue delivery, body language, screen presence were nice
- Shivaram was effective as he played the Naxalite role with conviction
- Shrikant Rathos and Jaiyetri Makana are good in their respective roles
- The first half has some fun moments and a couple of songs were good on screen

The music composition by Mani Sharma was good. Sreekanth Arpula’s cinematography is decent. The movie needed close to 15-20 minutes chopped off. Director Jaideep Vishnu has did an okay job with this movie. As the film is based on true events, some more effort was required in writing to make the movie a better engaging one.
