Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and seven others were arrested following a raid at a party on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast by NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). Aryan Khan appeared before the court in Mumbai this afternoon.
On Sunday evening, the 23-year-old Aryan was produced in court where the anti-drugs agency was granted custody, till today.
On Sunday, this ride yielded 13 gms of cocaine, 32 pills of MDMA, 21 gms of charas, and 5 gms of MD in all, said NCB. It also said that the charges brought against Aryan Khan are the purchase, possession, and use of banned substances.
Satish Maneshinde, who is Aryan Khan’s lawyer demanded bail, saying that his client had been arrested depending on the chat messages. “Aryan had no ticket, no seat or cabin on-board the cruise. He was there because of the invitation. He did not even have a boarding pass. He was arrested depending on the chat only.”
Apart from Aryan Khan, the Anti-Drugs Agency arrested seven others also from the ship. They are, Munmun Dhamecha, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Vikrant Chhoker, Arbaaz Merchant, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra.
On Saturday morning, the NCB team boarded the Goa-bound ship as passengers, sources said. As per the officials, the party started after the ship left from Mumbai and was at sea. It said the raids started at 10 am and went on till 2 pm.
During the operation, the suspects were searched and different drugs were recovered from them, which they had hidden in their purses, clothes, and undergarments, an NCB official told news agency PTI.
On Sunday, the cruise company gave a statement. In that, they said it had nothing to do with the incident.
