The question is when schools and colleges will open in Tamil Nadu. School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh had said that direct classes would be started in consultation with medical professionals.
Teachers are going to schools for student admission even if they live class does not start. There are reports that live classes will begin in colleges and schools in the first week of August.
The condition of private school teachers has become very deplorable as schools have not been open for a year and a half. Many of the teachers have gone to various jobs such as construction work and bakery work as daily wage. They are trapped in poverty without income.
Minister Anil Mahesh had recently said that the government would take steps to protect the livelihoods of private school teachers. In this context, an important announcement has been made today.
The Associate Director of School Education has sent out a circular. It has been informed that loan assistance of Rs. 6 lakhs to Rs. 14 lakhs will be given to the teachers.
The circular said that loan assistance will be provided for teachers to get married, buy new bikes and cars and teachers and academic staff can avail of the loan assistance scheme.
Announcement regarding Reopening of schools
Corona damage has been reported below 4000 for the last two consecutive days. Various relaxations have come into effect since yesterday across the state as the impact has lessened.
The ban continues only for certain areas such as colleges, theaters, and zoos. Doctors, educators, teachers, and parents say that students have been under a lot of stress as classes have been conducted online throughout the last academic year.
In this situation, the question of when schools and colleges will start in Tamil Nadu is constantly being raised. Direct classes in the colleges are expected to start in the first week of August as it has been announced that enrollment in the colleges will start from August 1.
The Minister of School Education has responded to this as the teachers’ union has been urging the schools to reopen.

Speaking to reporters in Thiruchendur, Minister Anbil Mahesh lied, “There are many opinions that NEET should not be held in Tamil Nadu. The action on NEET selection will be as per the decisions of the Chief Minister in the Assembly session.
The decision to reopen the schools will be taken only after consulting doctors on the third wave of corona infection”, he said.
STRUCTURE OF EDUCATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-22(CBSE)
In this situation, in the academic year 2024-22, the syllabus will be divided into 10th and 12th classes and the examinations will be conducted as first term and second term. The CBSE has announced that an aptitude test will be conducted at the end of each season.
The first term exam will be held in NOVEMBER and the second term in MARCH About 50 percent of the syllabus will be available each season, according to a CBSE statement.
