Tata Motors, India’s top-selling electric car company has unveiled the concept of a new electric SUV Curvv in India. the managing director of Tata Motors, Shailesh Chandra said, The company expects to launch vehicles based on this concept two years from now.
SUVs based on the new concept will first be launched as electric models, which will be followed by diesel or Petrol ones later. The Tata Curvv Electric SUV concept has a coupe-styled body.
As per the reports, EVs based on the new architecture will have larger batteries with a range of 400-500 km. The new vehicles will also be capable of more efficient charging.
Based on the details provided by the company, here are some of the features of the concept.
- The exterior design features a raised ride height, dynamic proportions, and tough cladding
- The front and rear fenders have large offsets
- It has a triangular headlamp design and a slim upper DRL
- The daylight opening has a typical SUV coupe-like graphic
- The interior is uncluttered and spacious
Tata Motors has more than 90% of India’s electric car market. It sold 19000 Electric Vehicles in the fiscal year that ended on 31st March, which is 4200 more compared to the previous year.
