Chandrababu Naidu, met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday in the nation’s capital to negotiate seat sharing for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
At Amit Shah’s home, N. Chnadrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, who are spending their third day camped out in the nation’s capital, had discussions. Since March 7, this was only their second meeting. The TDP allegedly received an invitation from the BJP to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The TDP, which broke from the NDA in 2018, is probably going to be present at one of the group’s upcoming meetings. The seat-sharing arrangement was also understood to have been finalized by the three parties. A statement is anticipated later today. The TDP and Jana Sena have declared their intention to share seats in advance. Out of 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats, the TDP has left 24 for the Jana Sena.
While Jana Sena announced its list of five candidates, the TDP also announced its original listing of 94 candidates. In September of last year, the BJP-led Jana Sena announced an agreement with the TDP. On February 7, N. Chandrababu Naidu went with BJP President J. P. Nadda and Amit Shah to Delhi to discuss the partnership. After experiencing an embarrassing loss in the 2019 elections, the TDP, which discontinued links with the BJP in 2018, declared interest in improving the partnership.
