The Tomorrow War: Same Alien, Same Time Travel, Same Sentiment in Hollywood!
“If I can save this world and save my daughter I will definitely do it” – this is the verse spoken by the protagonist of the movie `The Tomorrow War ‘. Although fantasy such as time travel and aliens have been made into movies by George Paul, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, and Jose Whedon, most films remain to be identical. `The Tomorrow War ‘ was released on July 2 on Amazon Prime. Although director Chris McKay has scripted the movie with different dimensions, it’s also clear that what’s going to happen next in this series. So this can be better called Today’s war than Tomorrow’s war.
Starring Chris Broad (Avengers – Star Lord), Yonne Trotsky (Edge, The Predator), JK Simmons, Jasmine Mathews, Sam Richardson, and many more. The only big strength of this film is the actors. The fact that Chris Brett and Yonne who acted as Father and Daughter in the film gives a notable performance. Little Ryan Giara, who is going to be a daughter, has shown amazing acting. Congratulations to the director who has earned excellent performances from actors in that category.
Probably something that would have been adored if the film had been screened in theaters because of its grand visuals! Music has also made a lesser contribution. The timing of the film is a bit less than it feels. Although the Tamil dubbing is a plus, some of the verses written thinking of comedy are annoying at times. The web series, which is taken up as episodes, is starting to show all of today’s problems and solutions. Today’s film is compelled to speak of many other aesthetics with its artistry and with its strong politics. It is a question mark to us that how many days these Time travel, aliens based concept is going to considered as an aesthetic picture.
The patriarchal notion that the male race protects its femininity by enclosing the life of a scientifically educated neighbor who arrives here from a distance unknown to our scientific eyes makes us not enjoy the grandeur of ‘The Tomorrow War’. Although the human father-daughter dialogue seems to be an inevitable sentimental dump, it is the acting and character creation of the two of them that lifts the film. Although it is possible to praise a father who realizes and corrects himself in the present (2024) by seeing his daughter cry out, `You have left me and my mother ‘in 2051, this too seems to be sowing a kind of patriarchal thinking when many families now stand up without the support of men.
Realizes a verse read in the first line. The idea that every family will live well only if the whole world is good is essential for today’s environment, not just someone who will destroy this world to save himself, his daughter, his family. There is no need to bring danger from another planet to realize it. This corona can be taken as a symbol for the epidemic.
