Weather forecast for Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space flight launch – All you need to know: Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Holding Inc is going to send the VSS Unity, which is a passenger rocket plane, on Sunday. It is the first fully crewed test flight.
Beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, this will be the fourth crewed test mission, for the space tourism company. VSS Unity will carry Branson, three mission specialists, and two pilots.
The Virgin Galactic space flight launch altitude will be about 50000 feet from the virgin Galactic carrier plane. From there, to reach the boundary of space, it will soar on its own rocket. Before beginning a descent back to the Earth, the crew will experience weightlessness for 4 minutes.
Virgin Galactic has received more than 600 flight reservations
If this becomes successful then Virgin Galactic is going to prove its mettle in the space race. It helps Branson to beat the rival Jeff Bezos and his space company, Blue Origin.
